虽然目前构建轴手性C-C键具有阻转异构选择性的双芳基分子、联烯型分子非常重要而且受到广泛研究,但是含有轴手性C-N键化合物的方法较为缺乏。有鉴于此,印度科技学院Indian Institute of Science(IISc) Garima Jindal、Subrata Mukherjee、A. T. Biju等报道了合成具有阻转异构的N-芳基琥珀酰亚胺,以去对称化方法通过N杂环卡宾催化实现含有轴手性C-N键的N-芳基顺丁烯二酰亚胺。
