干扰素IFN(Interferons)能够诱导产生抗菌状态,保护组织免于受到感染。多种多样的病毒能够阻止IFN产生信号,但是目前人们对细菌病原体是否能够回避IFN信号反应并不清楚。
有鉴于此,伦敦国王学院Charlotte Odendall等报道发现Shigella(志贺氏菌)OspC族的III型分泌效应器能够独立的实现阻碍IFN的细胞死亡抑制活性信号。然而,通过OspC1和OspC3与钙调素传感器(CaM)的结合实现对IFN干扰素的抑制,阻碍CaM钙调蛋白酶II和下游JAK/STAT信号传导。
